Africa Hops opened its doors in 2014 and is still run today by founder and managing director Marc Fourie and his team. Having learnt his brewing skills in the UK during the craft beer boom at the end of the last decade, he returned to Cape Town to setup sister company Riot Beer, but was immediately struck by the inability to get the same high quality ingredients that brewers in Europe were using. Knowing that the foundation of all great beers is simply – “What you put in is what you get out” – he immediately setup Africa Hops to service the needs of local craft brewers specializing in hops, malts and yeasts from the best suppliers in the world. Africa Hops is a supply company run by brewers for brewers focusing on helping brewers make the absolute best quality beer possible!
